No computer

Monday April 20, 2015
Unfortunately, I've been without my computer awaiting a new laptop so I've not been able to access my pictures.  However, I did have these pictures on my tablet of the placemats and kitchen curtains I made.  If you noticed these were the pile if fabric that was laying on the table in my post Woman Cave.  I love taking fabric and turning it into a beautiful piece.

They were made from 100% cotton the larger window I lined because you can see the back of the curtain standing on the porch.  I also learned how to use a ruffler foot,  pretty awesome foot.

And of course these are the placemats.  I also made the small floral arrangement.
Trying to this on my tablet is a joke!

Quilts I've made.

Wednesday April 8, 2015

I've been having some problems with my computer and I thought I might have a virus and it was acting all crazy so I wasn't able to post anything for a few days but fortunately all it was was a stuck key.  Go figure.
Early into my new sewing status my grand daughter asked if I would make her a tee shirt quilt, well of course I said yes, little did she know I didn't have the foggiest idea of how I was going to accomplish this task and at that time I was sewing in the living room in front of the doorwall.  (very cramped for space).  Any way my good friend Judy offered to help me and together me got the task done.

                                                              This is Judy,

This is the quilt for Stephanie.  Graduated 2009.  The borders and backing were made from flannel.

This quilt I made for Stephanie's boyfriend Joe.  He graduated in 2008.  The backing was also flannel.

Some where in between these two quilts I made a quilt from Craftsy a block of the month club. All the fabric in this quilt was made from scraps from projects I've previously made.

I've come a long way since then, I made this bedspread and shams this past summer of 2014.  The fabric was featured in one of the Threads magazine.

This flower matches the bedspread.  It's suppose to be a Dahlia, can you tell?   The flower directions were from  MarthaStewart.com, how to make fabric flowers. Actually I think it's pretty neat.

And my final quilt was for my daughter Natalie for Christmas.  This quilt was featured in a Sew News magazine.  It caught my eye because of the collie dogs in the display.  She has two collies so it was fitting.  The program for the embroidered pictures and directions came from Oregonpatchworks.com.  The proper name for the quilt is PUPPY LOVE.  It took me several months to finish but I got the job done.  A pat on the back for me!

WOMAN CAVE

Monday April 6, 2015

Well, I hope everyone had a nice Easter, I know I did, celebrating with friends & family.  My son-in-law sent me this plaque in facebook and I thought it was so cute so I made one of my own.

Okay,  this is my Woman Cave
